This Monday, Gimnasia, affectionately known as ‘El Lobo’, hosted Aldosivi and emerged victorious with a scoreline of 3-1. The match kicked off with excitement as Nicolás Barros Schelotto opened the scoring with a well-placed free-kick at the 13th minute of the first half. However, Aldosivi fought back just before halftime, leveling the match at 41 minutes when Federico Gino converted from the penalty spot after being fouled in the box.
With the score tied, Gimnasia refused to back down. The home side regained the lead in the second half with Agustín Auzmendi scoring a header from a corner in the 80th minute, quickly followed by Marcelo Torres who sealed the victory with another penalty goal at 84 minutes.
Agustín Auzmendi was a standout performer, contributing significantly to Gimnasia’s triumph by scoring one goal and taking two shots. Nicolás Barros Schelotto also had a remarkable game, not only scoring a goal but actively participating in the attack.
