In a thrilling match held at the Municipal Joaquín Muñoz García Stadium, Dep. Santa Cruz outclassed Magallanes, securing a commanding 4-1 victory in the first round of Zone G of the Copa Chile tournament. The home team quickly took the lead with Diego Arias scoring in the 3rd minute of the first half.
As the game progressed, Cristián Pardo showcased his striking prowess by netting two goals, first in the 33rd minute of the second half and then again shortly after in the 50th minute. Nicolás Barrios rounded off the scoring for Santa Cruz with a goal in the 37th minute of the second half. Magallanes managed to find the back of the net as well, with Matías Fredes scoring in the 41st minute of the second half, but it was too little, too late.
