Sarmiento triumphed over Banfield with a narrow 1-0 victory at the Eva Perón Stadium. The game saw its only goal come in the 51st minute of the first half when Diego Churín converted a penalty, breaking the deadlock.
Churín’s performance was remarkable, leading him to be named the man of the match. The forward not only scored but also made three attempts on goal throughout the game.
