River Plate conquers Gimnasia 2-0 with a double from Juan Fernando Quintero
On Wednesday, River Plate achieved a convincing 2-0 victory over Gimnasia in the second round of the Apertura. The star of the match was none other than Juan Fernando Quintero, who showcased his skills with two stunning goals. His first came from a free kick at the 41st minute of the first half, and he sealed the victory with another goal just five minutes into the second half.
Quintero’s outstanding performance positioned him as the standout player of the match, with a total of two goals, 54 successful passes, and five attempts on goal. Fausto Vera also had a significant impact, completing 82 passes and attempting three shots at the opposing goal.
