In a spectacular display at home, Talleres celebrated a thrilling 2-1 victory against Newell’s in the opening match of the Apertura season. The hosts dominated the game, establishing a comfortable 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Ronaldo Martínez and Valentín Depietri. Martínez scored with a brilliant header early in the second half at the 58th minute, followed by a well-executed strike by Depietri just before the end of the match at the 40th minute.
Newell’s fought back with a goal from Walter Núñez in stoppage time at the 90th minute, but it was not enough to change the outcome.
Ronaldo Martínez drew applause for his outstanding performance, scoring one goal and taking three shots during the match. Depietri also proved to be pivotal with his goal that solidified the team’s lead.
