The Tuzos secured a vital win against La Fiera on Tuesday in a match that tested both teams’ resolve. Oussama Idrissi opened the scoring in the 45th minute, giving Pachuca a 1-0 lead just before halftime. Salomón Rondón doubled the advantage for Pachuca in the 69th minute with a powerful shot that found the back of the net.
León fought back when Rogelio Funes Mori narrowed the gap, scoring in the 84th minute of the second half to make it 2-1, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.
Sergio Barreto was instrumental in Pachuca’s defense, effectively clearing seven balls from the danger zone, earning him the distinction of the standout player of the match. Another key performer was Salomón Rondón, who not only scored but also contributed significantly to his team’s play.
