On the opening matchday of the season, Marcelo Flores made an impactful entrance, scoring two crucial goals that propelled Tigres to a 2-1 triumph over Atl. de San Luis at the Alfonso Lastras Ramírez Stadium this Sunday.
The first half was action-packed, with Flores finding the net in the 48th minute after a brilliant team play, giving Tigres the lead at 1-0. However, the joy was short-lived as João Pedro Galvão responded quickly for San Luis, equalizing with a header in the 28th minute of the second half.
Just three minutes later, Flores struck again, netting his second goal to secure the final score of 2-1. His outstanding performance earned him the title of the best player on the pitch, with two goals and four shots on target.
João Pedro Galvão also stood out for San Luis, scoring one goal and attempting four shots on goal. His efforts kept San Luis in contention for a significant portion of the match.
