In a remarkable display of football, Tigres triumphed over Tijuana with a decisive 5-0 scoreline, securing their position in the Liga MX semifinals. Juan Brunetta emerged as the star of the match, netting two goals, while Nicolás Ibáñez opened the scoring early in the 14th minute.
The match, played at the Estadio Universitario, saw goals from Brunetta at the 29th minute (penalty) and the 38th minute, followed by Ozziel Herrera (73rd minute) and Juan Pablo Vigón (90+2 minutes) adding to the tally, solidifying Tigres’ dominance.
Despite a missed penalty by Ozziel Herrera in the 67th minute, Tigres maintained control throughout the game. Brunetta not only scored twice but also attempted six shots on goal, showcasing his attacking prowess. Ibáñez was equally impressive, finding the net once and making three attempts on target.
