In the fourth round of Group B in the first division, Bucaramanga triumphed over Fortaleza FC this Saturday at the Metropolitano de Techo Stadium. Luciano Pons put Bucaramanga ahead with a goal in the 26th minute of the first half, while Fabián Sambueza sealed the victory in the 29th minute of the second half.
A standout moment in the match came from Fabián Sambueza, who scored in the 29th minute of the second half. After receiving a cross from Luciano Pons, he struck the ball from the penalty area, leaving the rival goalkeeper with no chance to react.
In the 85th minute, Faber Gil Mosquera hit the post, missing an opportunity to extend Bucaramanga’s lead further.
The star of the match was undoubtedly Fabián Sambueza, who not only scored a goal but also attempted six shots on target throughout the game.
Luciano Pons was also instrumental for Bucaramanga, contributing with one goal to the team’s victory.
On the other side, Fortaleza FC, managed by Sebastián Oliveros, employed a 3-4-3 formation with Jordan Garcia in goal, while Yesid Díaz, Luis Escorcia, and Harold Balanta formed the defense. They also had Jonathan Marulanda, Sebastián Ramírez, Andrés Ricaurte, and Sebastián Valencia in the midfield, with Andrés Arroyo, Emilio Aristizábal, and Jhoiner Salas leading the attack.
Meanwhile, Bucaramanga, coached by Leonel Álvarez, lined up in a 4-5-1 formation with Aldair Quintana guarding the goal; a defense comprising Aldair Gutiérrez, Jefferson Mena, Carlos Henao, and Carlos de las Salas. The midfield consisted of Leonardo Flores, Aldair Zárate, Fabián Sambueza, Juan Mosquera, and Kevin Londoño, and Luciano Pons spearheaded the attack.
