Santiago Mele emerged as the standout player of the match, delivering an impressive performance as Uruguay’s goalkeeper by saving three shots from Mexico.
On the other hand, Mexico’s Raúl Rangel was also crucial, making two key saves throughout the match against Uruguay.
The Mexican coach, Javier Aguirre, implemented a 4-3-3 formation, featuring Raúl Rangel in goal; with Israel Reyes, César Montes, Johan Vásquez, and Jesús Gallardo in defense; Érick Sánchez, Edson Álvarez, and Marcel Ruiz in the midfield; and Roberto Alvarado, Raúl Jiménez, and Hirving Lozano leading the attack.
