In a captivating clash for the 5th round of Group B, Trinidad and Jamaica fought to a 1-1 stalemate at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.
The match saw Jamaica take the lead early in the second half, with Renaldo Cephas scoring in the 53rd minute. However, Trinidad managed to equalize thanks to a goal from Kevin Molino, which he netted in the 85th minute.
Kevin Molino was undoubtedly the standout player of the match, making a decisive impact by scoring Trinidad’s only goal.
Jamaica’s offensive prowess was highlighted by Renaldo Cephas, who also marked his name on the scoresheet with a well-placed goal.
Trinidad, under the guidance of coach Dwight Yorke, employed a 5-3-2 formation featuring Denzil Smith in goal; Déron Payne, Kobi Henry, Justin García, Jackie Jerrin, and Andre Raymond forming the defense; Daniel Phillips, Levi García, and Andre Rampersad controlling the midfield; with Tyrese Spicer and Dante Sealy leading the attack.
