Genoa and Fiorentina delivered an electrifying performance in their 2-2 draw at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium during matchday 11 of Serie A.
The game started with Genoa taking the lead when Leo Östigard found the net with a header in the 14th minute. However, Fiorentina responded swiftly, first converting a penalty by Albert Gudmundsson at the 19th minute and then taking the lead with a goal from Roberto Piccoli in the 56th minute. Genoa struck back to equalize when Lorenzo Colombo scored in the 59th minute.
Notably, Lorenzo Colombo missed a chance to give Genoa the upper hand by failing to convert a penalty in the 49th minute of the second half. Despite this, he was named the man of the match for his contribution, which included one goal and three shots on target.
Fiorentina’s Roberto Piccoli also stood out, netting a goal and making three attempts at the Genoa goalkeeper.
