In a thrilling encounter during Matchday 17 of Liga MX, Mazatlán and Necaxa ended the match at a 1-1 draw.
Mazatlán’s forward, Fábio Gomes, opened the scoring with a penalty in the 50th minute of the first half. However, Ricardo Monreal equalized for Necaxa just minutes before the final whistle, scoring in the 48th minute of the second half.
Despite having more attempts and scoring opportunities, Necaxa could not find the back of the net to claim victory. Out of their total 21 shots, 15 went off target, with 6 coming close to hitting the goal.
