This past Wednesday, during the 14th round of league play, CF Monterrey faced off against FC Juárez at their home ground, the BBVA Bancomer Stadium. The match concluded with a decisive 4-2 in favor of the home team. The goals for Monterrey came from Gerardo Arteaga (7’), Sergio Canales (37’), Germán Berterame (57’), and Joaquín Moxica (78’). Juárez managed to score twice, with Madson finding the net (47’) and an unfortunate own goal by Luis Cárdenas (80’).
In the 80th minute, FC Juárez’s midfielder Ricardinho attempted to pull one back, but his shot hit the post, denying him a goal.
Germán Berterame was the standout player of the match, contributing with a goal and two shots on target, while Joaquín Moxica also impressed with a goal and three attempts.
