In the 13th round of the Clausura, San Martín (SJ) triumphed over Independiente, edging them out with a 1-0 scoreline at the 27 de Septiembre Stadium. The standout moment came in the 60th minute when Tomás Fernández found the back of the net, delivering the decisive goal for his team.
Assist came from Juan Ignacio Cavallaro, who delivered a precise cross that allowed Fernández to strike the ball securely into the net.
Despite dominating possession with 66% of the ball, Independiente was unable to convert their chances into goals, ultimately falling short of a victory.
Earlier in the match, Independiente had a golden opportunity to take the lead when Pablo Galdames failed to convert a penalty kick in the 5th minute of the first half.
