Estudiantes proved their superiority by defeating Gimnasia 2-0 in a thrilling encounter at Tierra de Campeones. The first goal came just before halftime when Edwuin Cetré executed a remarkable strike to set the tone for the match. Guido Carrillo sealed the victory with a second goal in the 51st minute of the second half.
Gimnasia, despite their efforts, could not find the back of the net. Tiago Palacios almost marked the beginning of the scoring for Estudiantes with a powerful shot that hit the post in the 11th minute.
