Following the momentum, Álvaro Barreal doubled the lead with a strike in the 38th minute.
The second half saw continued intensity as Benjamín Rollheiser converted a penalty in the 54th minute to put Santos ahead by three. Though Corinthians managed to pull one back with a goal from Raniele in the 57th minute, they struggled to make any further impact.
Notably, Gustavo Henrique of Corinthians had a chance to reduce the deficit, hitting the woodwork in the 80th minute, which could have changed the dynamics of the game.
