Los Angeles FC set the pace throughout the match, successfully keeping Toronto FC from scoring and ultimately securing a decisive 2-0 victory at BMO Stadium. The opening goal came from forward Jeremy Ebobisse just 12 minutes into the first half, followed by a crucial second goal from Frankie Amaya in the 24th minute of the second half that sealed the triumph for LAFC.
In a missed opportunity, LAFC’s David Martínez failed to extend the lead, as he squandered a penalty in the 59th minute of the second half.
