In an impressive display, Boca Juniors crushed Newell’s with a 5-0 victory, highlighted by a brace from forward Milton Giménez. The match took place at La Bombonera as part of the Clausura’s 11th round. Giménez found the net in the 6th and 23rd minutes of the first half, setting the tone for an overpowering performance by the home side.
The scoring continued with Ayrton Costa finding the back of the net in the 31st minute, followed by goals from Brian Aguirre and Lautaro Blanco in the second half, at the 49th and 58th minutes, respectively.
Boca’s head coach, Claudio Úbeda, opted for a 4-4-2 formation, featuring Agustín Marchesín in goal. The defensive line was made up of Juan Ignacio Barinaga, Lautaro Di Lollo, Ayrton Costa, and Lautaro Blanco.
