The opening goal was a standout moment, coming from Santiago Jiménez in the 16th minute. After making a clever run down the left, he struck the ball to find the back of the net, placing it into the left corner of the goal, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.
Alianza looked to extend their lead just before halftime but Johan Caicedo’s shot hit the post in the 40th minute, a missed opportunity that would haunt them later in the match.
Lucumí was undoubtedly the star of the match, as he scored twice and attempted four shots on goal. Likewise, Facundo Boné was instrumental for Pasto, scoring one goal and placing two shots on target.
