In a thrilling display of football at Estadio Jalisco, the Zorros triumphed over the Rayos with a final score of 3-2 in the eleventh round of Liga MX. The match was characterized by high intensity and continuous effort from both teams. The score was level at 2-2, thanks to goals from Mateo García (8’) and Uros Djurdjevic (28’) for Atlas, while Tomás Jacob (16’) and Diber Cambindo (56’) netted for Necaxa. Just when a draw seemed inevitable, Diego Gonzalez converted a penalty in the 48th minute of the second half, sealing the game for Diego Cocca’s side.
At the 74-minute mark, Johan Rojas had the chance to give his team the lead, but his shot hit one of the posts.
