The score was level at 2-2, thanks to goals from Mateo García (8’) and Uros Djurdjevic (28’) for Atlas, while Tomás Jacob (16’) and Diber Cambindo (56’) netted for Necaxa. Just when a draw seemed inevitable, Diego Gonzalez converted a penalty in the 48th minute of the second half, sealing the game for Diego Cocca’s side.
