On the other side, coach Paul Simonis deployed a 4-5-1 formation for Wolfsburg, fielding Kamil Grabara in goal; Kilian Fischer, Moritz Jenz, Konstantinos Koulierakis, and Joakim Maehle in defense; and a midfield with Maximilian Arnold, Vinicius Souza, Andreas Skov Olsen, Lovro Majer, and Patrick Wimmer. Mohamed Amoura was chosen as the forward.
