In a thrilling encounter at the Estadio Corona, Atl. de San Luis showcased their strength with a remarkable 4-1 win over Santos Laguna on Matchday 9 of the Liga MX. João Pedro Galvão was the star of the match, netting two goals and demonstrating his prowess upfront.
The Rojiblancos opened the scoring with a fantastic free-kick from Juan Sanabria in the 36th minute of the first half, lifting the spirits of the home crowd. Sanabria’s strike from distance was too much for the Santos goalkeeper, leaving him helpless as the ball sailed into the net.
The visitors managed to respond with an equalizer from Juan Sanabria (36’, 1st Half) who converted an exhilarating free-kick, but the night belonged to Atl. de San Luis. In the second half, Benjamin Galdames (49’, 2nd Half) further extended the lead for the home team.
