Levante displayed an impressive performance on Saturday, outclassing Girona with a striking 4-0 win away from home in the fifth round of La Liga. The Granotes, under the leadership of Julián Calero, demonstrated their dominance both in gameplay and scoreboard as they overwhelmed their opponents.
The scoring opened in the 42nd minute when Etta Eyong scored a stunning header, giving Levante the 1-0 lead as the ball sailed past goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga into the right corner of the net after a precise cross from Jeremy Toljan.
In the second half, Carlos Álvarez doubled the lead just three minutes after the break, finding the net from a set-piece. Following that, Iván Romero added another in the 24th minute of the second half with a well-executed strike. The final goal came from Goduine Koyalipou in the 46th minute, sealing an emphatic victory for the visitors.
Álvarez was undoubtedly the star of the match, contributing with one goal, registering 40 accurate passes, and testing the opposing goalkeeper with four attempts. Meanwhile, Jeremy Toljan proved to be an essential defender, successfully clearing three threats from the danger zone.
