In the clash for the 9th round of the Clausura, Huracán suffered a setback against Racing Club, losing 2-0 at Estadio La Quema. The first goal came in the 22nd minute of the first half, expertly executed by forward Duván Vergara. Matías Zaracho sealed the match with the second goal in stoppage time, at the 46th minute of the second half.
The opening goal resulted from a brilliant play by the Academia, with Agustín García Basso providing a perfect assist to Vergara, who took a shot from the semicircle into the right corner.
Though Huracán recorded a remarkable 19 shots, outpacing Racing’s 10, they could not convert, with only 7 of those on target and the remainder going wide.
Santiago Quirós emerged as the standout player of the match, demonstrating defensive prowess by clearing 5 dangerous balls from his area.
Marco Di Césare also shone with solid defensive contributions, successfully clearing 6 potential threats.
Huracán’s coach, Frank Kudelka, deployed a 4-5-1 formation, featuring Hernán Galíndez in goal; Tomás Guidara, Fabio Pereyra, Hugo Nervo, and César Ibáñez in defense; and a midfield comprised of Leonardo Gil, Leonel Pérez, Juan Francisco Bisanz, Matko Miljevic, and Agustín Urzi, with Leonardo Sequeira leading the attack.

The match was officiated by Nicolás Lamolina, who oversaw a highly competitive encounter.
Looking ahead, Huracán will visit Independiente Riv. (M) in the next round, while Racing prepares to face Independiente at home. The latter is gearing up for the highly anticipated Derby of Avellaneda against their historic rivals.
