In a closely fought encounter held at Avenida Stadium, Unión and Huracán ended their match in a 1-1 stalemate during the sixth round of the Clausura.
Huracán took the lead in the first half at the 42nd minute with a goal from Hugo Nervo. However, Unión responded quickly after the break, equalizing just four minutes into the second half with a strike from Marcelo Estigarribia.
Earlier in the first half, Unión’s forward Juan Francisco Bisanz came extremely close to scoring when his shot hit the post in the 27th minute. Throughout the match, Unión maintained a dominant ball possession of 63%, yet they were unable to convert this advantage into a decisive goal.
Marcelo Estigarribia stood out as the player of the match, contributing significantly with his goal, two shots on target, and eight successful passes. On the defensive side, Hugo Nervo earned praise for his solid performance which included the opening goal for Huracán.
