In the fifth round of the Clausura, Unión delivered an impressive display, overwhelming Instituto with a decisive 4-0 victory at the Estadio Olímpico in Córdoba. The standout performer was Mauro Pittón, who netted two goals, showcasing his current excellent form and brilliant skills on the field.
Pittón opened the scoring with a stunning goal in the 7th minute, capitalizing on an individual effort down the right flank. He launched a powerful shot from the edge of the area that found the back of the net, sending the home crowd into raptures. Marcelo Estigarribia quickly followed suit, doubling the lead in the 10th minute, before Mauricio Martínez added a third goal just seven minutes later.
Despite some attempts from Instituto, including a shot from Juan Manuel Romero that hit the post in the 35th minute, they failed to find a way back into the game. Mauro Pittón was acknowledged as the best player on the pitch, contributing not only his two goals but also completing 18 accurate passes and making three attempts on goal.
Mauricio Martínez, another key player for Unión, scored one goal, successfully connecting on 26 passes, and also took three shots towards the goal.
