San Lorenzo triumphed over Vélez with a score of 1-0 in a match held at the Nuevo Gasómetro. Despite a resilient performance from El Fortín, they could not convert their chances into goals.
The only goal of the match came in the 27th minute of the first half when Alexis Cuello found the back of the net after receiving a precise assist from Ezequiel Cerutti. Cuello’s shot went to the lower right corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance to react.
Cuello was undoubtedly the standout player for the Ciclón, recording one goal, attempting three shots on target, and completing 29 successful passes throughout the game. Ezequiel Cerutti also had an impressive performance, hitting the target twice and providing 22 accurate passes.
