Central Córdoba (SE) established their dominance as hosts by clinching a 2-1 victory over Defensa y Justicia in a gripping encounter that took place on Monday, as part of the third round of the Clausura tournament.
The scoring opened early in the match, just 9 minutes in, when Lucas Besozzi found the back of the net, giving the home side a crucial lead. However, Defensa y Justicia responded quickly in the second half, equalizing the match in the 53rd minute through a well-coordinated play by César Pérez.
With the game heading towards a draw, Central Córdoba (SE) snatched the win in dramatic fashion, scoring the decisive goal from a free kick in the 47th minute of the second half.
Matías Perelló, the forward for Central Córdoba (SE), had several opportunities to shift the scoreline, but the woodwork denied him on two occasions, keeping the tension high.
