The home team saw goals from João Peglow (47’) and Christian Benteke (50’, penalty) while Austin FC’s scoring came from Myrto Uzuni (21’), Owen Wolff (44’), Osman Bukari (59’), and Robert Taylor (90+2’).
Robert Taylor stole the show with a stunning goal in the dying moments of the game, striking the ball precisely into the bottom left corner after receiving an assist from Nicolás Dubersarsky.
Christian Benteke had a standout performance for DC United, scoring a goal and making four attempts on goal. Another notable player was Myrto Uzuni, who played a significant role in Austin FC’s success by netting one goal.
