On Friday evening, New York City FC triumphed over FC Dallas with a score of 4-3, thanks to a spectacular hat-trick from forward Alonso Martínez. The match, held at the Toyota Stadium, showcased exciting play from both teams, with NYCFC taking the lead as Petar Musa scored in the 14th minute.
Equally dynamic was Logan Farrington, who contributed two goals for the visitors (16’ and 52’) and kept the pressure on the NYCFC defense. FC Dallas’s Jonathan Shore also found the net in the 10th minute, but it was Martínez who stole the show with goals in the 21st, 38th, and another at the start of the second half.
Alonso Martínez was undoubtedly the standout player of the evening, delivering a stellar performance with three goals and five shots on target. His incredible display led New York City FC to secure an important three points.
Despite the loss, Logan Farrington’s efforts were notable, as he also managed to create significant chances and keep the game competitive.
