In a thrilling encounter at Shell Energy Stadium, Houston Dynamo and Philadelphia Union battled to a 1-1 draw in the 21st week of the MLS.
Philadelphia took the lead in the 14th minute, thanks to a goal from Alejandro Bedoya, but the home side equalized in the 54th minute with a penalty converted by Jack McGlynn.
Houston’s Griffin Dorsey came close to clinching a victory for his team but was thwarted twice by the woodwork, preventing his team from securing all three points.
Jack McGlynn was the standout performer of the match, scoring one goal and attempting three shots. Meanwhile, Alejandro Bedoya also made significant contributions, netting a goal for Philadelphia.
Houston’s coach, Benjamin Olsen, employed a 4-5-1 formation with Jonathan Bond in goal; Griffin Dorsey, Pablo Ortiz, Ethan Bartlow, and Franco Escobar in defense; Júnior Urso, Artur de Lima, Jack McGlynn, Sebastian Kowalczyk, and Ondrej Lingr in midfield; and Ezequiel Ponce leading the attack.
