In the second round of the Primera División, Alianza FC showcased their home advantage by beating Pereira 1-0 at Estadio Armando Maestre Pavajeau. The lone goal of the match came from Felipe Pardo in the 28th minute of the first half.
Pardo found the back of the net with a powerful strike from inside the box after a well-placed cross from Kalazán Suárez.
Later in the first half, Ayron del Valle nearly doubled the lead but was denied by the post at the 35-minute mark.

Defensively, Kalazán Suárez also stood out, clearing three potential threats from the Alianza penalty area.
