Cruz Azul dominated the match in terms of attempts on goal, with a total of 6 shots hitting the target and another 10 going wide. Despite this offensive pressure, they were unable to break the deadlock.
Ricardo Gutiérrez was undoubtedly the standout player of the match, as the Mazatlán goalkeeper made four crucial saves to keep his side in the game. His performance was critical in preserving the scoreline.
