On Thursday, during matchday 5 of Group A in the Intermedio tournament, Liverpool (U) edged past Peñarol with a score of 3-2 in an action-packed game. Despite being startled twice by goals from Peñarol – first from Maximiliano Silvera in the 48th minute of the first half and later by David Terans in the 62nd minute – Liverpool managed to turn the game around in their favor. The goals from Hugo Quintana (48’), Abel Hernández (53’), and Nicolás Vallejo (57’) allowed them to celebrate a hard-fought victory.

Abel Hernández emerged as the standout player of the match, scoring one of Liverpool’s crucial goals. Another key player for Liverpool (U) was Nicolás Vallejo, who also found the back of the net.
