Austin FC emerged victorious in their home matchup against New York Red Bulls on Saturday, marking week 17 of the MLS season. The home team’s goals came from Guilherme Biro at the 5th minute and Brandon Vázquez, who netted another at the 50th minute. New York’s sole goal was an own goal by Vázquez in the 22nd minute of the first half.
The match kicked off with a brilliant play by Austin FC just five minutes in, where Guilherme Biro headed the ball into the right side of the net after connecting with a corner from Owen Wolff.
Despite a total of 15 shots from New York Red Bulls, with 8 on target, they were unable to convert their efforts into goals and ultimately faced defeat.
Guilherme Biro was named man of the match, contributing significantly with his goal and clearing four dangerous balls throughout the game.
Brandon Vázquez also shined at Q2 Stadium, scoring two goals in the match.

Referee Rosendo Mendoza officiated the encounter at the Q2 Stadium.
